Purpose: To create research plan proposal for the Georgian College Flight Centre new location project with the below specified components to ensure an understanding of the development of the research question, objectives and process has been obtained. Components/Sections in the Proposal: Background of the topic Learn about the travel agency Where are the current locations What are some of the current products/promotions Look at some other agencies - any on school campuses? (rationale for study) Look at current travel habits of college students (websites, journal articles, databases) - Search relevant websites, databases, trade magazines etc. - Minimum of 3 relevant and reliable sources should be referred to in the background Problem Definition From the background you must be able to identify the problems that need to be addressed and state them in a general paragraph (refer to problems mentioned in class). Research Question From the problems develop a measurable research question that is not too broad and not too narrow and which includes all elements of the problem definition. Objectives From the research question develop 3-5 actionable objective statements as discussed and practiced in class. Research Design and Methodology We are using a survey for our collection method. Develop a paragraph stating our collection method and whether it is primary or secondary and qualitative or quantitative. Include who we will be surveying in your methodology.
