Python 2.7

I'm trying to create a cafe menu and the user should be able to choose an item or more from the menu and based on what they order a receipt will be printed out that displays the price of each item and then their total price with the tax. The read and write function should be used to open and write the menu in a separate text file. I've tried this but I can't figure out to how get the prices to show up in the text file.
