(b) An experiment was conducted in the Fluid Mechanics Laboratory to determine the loss coefficient for 90-degree elbow. The fluid flows upwards and time taken to fill 3-liter beaker is 13.86 second. The different in elevation between inlet and outlet of the elbow is 40 mm . The diameter of the elbow is 22 mm . The height of the fluid in the manometer at the inlet and outlet of the elbow are 429mm,360mm respectively. If the density and kinematic viscosity of the water are 998kgm3,110-6m2s respectively, determine the loss coefficient for 90-degree elbow.
