Real$-$Life Examples Related to ITIL Terminology

The author of the ITIL textbook we are usingsprinkles $$real$-$life examples$$ throughout the chapters

to illustrate different aspects of IT service management.

Here is an example taken from the section called Outcomes that is in Chapter $4.$

The author$$s purpose for the example is to illustrate the difference in meaning between the term

$$output$$ and the term $$outcome$.$While outputs are tangible or measurable, outcomes are

intangible. An outcome is generally a result based on one or more outputs. In this Netflix example,

the outcome is whether you were thoroughly entertained or not, or whether you were able to bond

with your kids over a family movie. This outcome could be because of one episode of a TV show

such as $$Anne with an E$$ or the entire season consisting of multiple episodes. Your entertainment

taste is yours alone. You might have a wonderful time with this show, while the family next door

hates the concept of a show that is based in the mid $1900$s and prefers something scientific like

$$Star Trek: Picard.$$ You see that the same show that one customer loves might just not be a winner

for another.$$

with an example. For each, provide another example of your own choosing that uses an IT service

to illustrate the same meaning of terminology, but make the IT service one that is different from

not illustrate any concepts with these IT service
