Its tours cater to a diverse audience such as families, retirees and young couples. Consider the following situations SEPARATELY AND INDEPENDENTLY. (a) TTW entered into a contract with a local celebrity, Georgie, to lead a tour group for fans of Georgie to Isle of Xanadu in June. In March, three months before the said tour, Georgie informed TTW that he had decided to hold a concert in Singapore in June which clashed with the date/period of the tour and hence he would not be performing his obligations under the said contract at all. As the tour was specically for the fans of Georgie to interact with him, it was not possible for TTW to nd an alternative person to lead the tour group to Isle of Xanadu. By this time, TTW had incurred expenses in preparation for the tour amounting to $30,000, for the booking of accommodation and transport services and printing of advertising brochures in connection with the promotion of the tour. In addition, as Georgie was such a popular celebrity, the tour was already fully booked and TTW would have made gross prots of $200,000 from the tour had the tour proceeded.
