Quadrant Analysis Assignment

The purpose of this assignment is to familiarize you with how to conduct a quadrant analysis.

In this assignment, you will again be working with the SPORTS data file.

1.First, run descriptive statistics for the importance ratings (V6 through V16). Obtain the median importance rating for each of these variables. (From the Analyze menu, choose Descriptive Statistics, then Frequencies. Select the appropriate variables, then click on statistics and check the box next to median).

2.Next, run descriptive statistics for Smiths ratings on each of these factors (V17 through V27). Use the mean for these items. Follow the same procedure as in #1 above.

3.Now (by hand), determine the median importance score and the median delivery score (Smiths rating). You do this by listing the importance (delivery) scores in order, and determining the middle score.

4.Now you should be able to categorize each attribute into one of four quadrants. Construct a quadrant analysis table (like the one shown in class) and write a brief (one paragraph) description of the findings.
