Sound can be defined in both physical and physiological terms. For sound to occur, object vibrates or moves, small parts and rapid variations in pressure causes the molecules to vibrate. The interaction of the vibrating molecules sets up a wave motion that transmits the pressure variation away from the vibrating source hence causing sound or noise. What is considered sound to one person is considered as noise to another. When an employee is exposed to excessive noise he/she is at risk of developing hearing disorder.

Lighting is one of the important components in the workplace as it enables employees to see objects and machinery hence avoiding unnecessary accidents to occur. Employers and employees should be able to know and understand ways on how to prevent fire from occurring as this will preserve life and property. Millions are spend on recurperating a building after it has been gutted by fire e.g Chobe Design. It may delay the business from kick starting due to some processes involve such as insurances and building from scratch hence loss of business as a result startegies should always be in place and be known to try avoid fire from occurring.
