Question 1 (30 marks) An organisational structure provides the framework within which an enterprise functions. Flexible structure will assist in dealing with challenges and creating opportunities for growth. A sound organisational structure facilitates growth of the organisation by increasing its capacity to handle complex operations. Identify any 2 (Two) distinct organisations from your community that have adopted different organisational structures. Critically discuss the effectiveness, merits and demerits of the organisational structures adopted by these entities. Provide recommendations on other structures that may be adopted by the identified organisations to achieve operational efficiency. Requirements and Structure 1. Project cover page gives all required details 2. Main body of the project must be no more than 8 pages (Annexures can be any length), and writing in non-technical readable style. Annexure reports are readable at a glance (e.g. by being foldout). 3. Research must be undertaken to enhance the value of your response. 4. The project must include a Table of Contents page. 5. Text: Font: Arial or Times New Roman (12), Spacing: 172 line. All text must be justified at each margin. 6. Your project may include theories, charts, tables or exhibits necessary to support your analysis and recommendations. 7. References - At least 8 sources of reference (textbooks, journals, press reports, internet, etc) must be included in your bibliography.
