Question \#1 (7 Marks) - Temperature Distribution using Explicit Approach A

Question \#1 (7 Marks) - Temperature Distribution using Explicit Approach A bar of length 200mm is set at one end to a temperature of 313.15K and 283.15K at the other end as shown in Figure 1. Figure 1. 1D transient conduction heat transfer To analyze the unsteady temperature distribution within the bar, it is divided into 15 nodes. Using the Explicit Approach develop a code using MatLab that could be used to: a) Find the final temperature distribution within the bar after 1min,3min,5min,20min, and 40 min using a time step of 1sec. b) Plot the results of part a on a single plot (overplayed plots). Use a line style and marker type as shown in Figure 2a. Comment. c) Using the subplot feature in MatLab, present three plots for the final temperature distribution after 1 min using a time step of 1sec,5sec, and 20sec. Comment. Initially, the bar was set to a temperature of 283.15K Hint: Store the temperature distribution in a matrix such that the rows correspond to time and the columns corresponds to the temperature spatial distribution as shown in Figure 2. (a) (b) Figure 2. a) Line style and marker type, b) An explicit finite difference module
