Unable to contact Marlene, the crew took a decision to place some of the goods in storage and to sell those that were about to spoil. This caused them to incur thousands of dollars in costs which they sought to get back from Marlene's Commodities on whose hehalfthey purported to act. Marlene is adamant that she will not pay because she never told the shippers to incur such expenses. Use agency law to advise the shippers of their likelihood of success against Marlene.
