PLAAF Chief is visiting PAFAA to attend the next graduation parade. It is desired by PAFAA authorities to welcome him by designing a friendship billboard and erecting the structure. Students of CAE designed a structure similar to the one shown in figure 1(a). The same structure can be approximated as a simplified 2D case and shown in Figure 1(b). There are strong winds in the area which blow, and the structure should be able to withstand those wind loads as well as the other miscellaneous loads. The estimated loads, their estimated points of action and distances are also indicated in Figure 1 (b). Having studied Mechanics-101 course, you have been tasked to find forces in several critical members in the 2D approximated structure, namely BF, BG, GF and AB.
