Question 1 - Environment Impact Assessment

A foreign company seeks to build a factory to manufacture face masks and hand sanitizers. They

have purchased an empty lot within an industrial zone whilst also bordering the nearby school.

The company wishes to clear the land and build the factory.

An EIA Consultant has asked you to compile a short report in plain language setting

out the Environment Impact Assessment processes that must be followed to assist the developer

in understanding and complying with the relevant Environmental laws in Fiji. Refer to the

Environment Management Act 2005
