Question 1: Plan Evaluation (10 points) Some traditional formal project plans used to guide a project include the following (reference: page 115 of Pritchard textbook): Project Cost management Schedule management Quality management Communication management Human resource management Contract management Stakeholder management Test management Training Requirement: Select any five (5) from the list above and create quick a brief project plan document for each of the five selected, using one of the project files selected from the list of project files above. The specific project files are posted with Week 03 Assignment in Canvas (the five brief project plan documents will act as inputs to the Plan Evaluation technique for the project you selected for this question) Hint: o In this assignment, each of the ten traditional project plans outlined above would be a brief project plan

Question 2: Plan Evaluation (15 points) Requirement:

Using the five brief project plan documents prepared above in Question 1, develop a risk log register for each of the five brief project plan documents, using the same project file selected for Question 1 (the risk log register for each of the five brief project plans will eventually act as outputs of the Plan Evaluation technique for the project selected in Question 1)

The City of North Beach has awarded a $16 million contract to your company to complete two important projects for the city. Both projects have been approved by the City Council to start in October this year, and must be completed by December 2024, with a two-month grace period for the completion date to mitigate against any unexpected and adverse weather conditions during the hurricane season of 2023 and 2024.

The two projects are: 1) Build a bridge overpass on Highway 427 over Flint Road (known as Highway 427/Flint Road Project), and

2) Expand the lanes at the intersection of Pittsford Road & Elmwood Boulevard (known as Pittsford/Elmwood Interchange Project). This lane expansion involves creating three lanes in each direction plus a center turn lane leading away from the intersection for half a mile in all four directions.

Projects Requirements

1) Highway 427/Flint Road Project o Highway 427 currently has 4 lanes of traffic in each direction, i.e., northbound and southbound, with a 12-ft median between the northbound and southbound lanes

Flint Road has 3 lanes of traffic in each direction, i.e., eastbound and westbound, with 4-ft median between the eastbound and westbound lanes

For this project the requirement is to: Build a bridge overpass on Highway 427 over Flint Road

Build two on-ramps from Flint Road to Highway 427, i.e., northbound and southbound ramps

Build two off-ramps from Highway 427 to Flint Road to, i.e., eastbound and westbound ramps

2) Pittsford/Elmwood Interchange Project o The Pittsford Road & Elmwood Interchange has two lanes of traffic coming in from all four directions.

For this project the requirement is to:

Create three lanes of traffic coming into the intersection from all four directions

Add center lanes in all four directions coming into the intersection

The new three lanes and center lanes must start a half mile from the intersection in all four directions

The new traffic pattern must blend with existing lane patterns that go into the intersection, from half a mile, in all four directions

The new traffic light signals at the interchange must be synchronized with the next three traffic light signals coming into the interchange, from half a mile, in all four directions
