Familiarise yourself with the article called $$STARTOOLS $$ Twenty approaches to training initiatives$($also downloadable with this assignment$).$ This article expands on the various approaches to training initiatives, or learning opportunities, that were introduced in the notes and shows how to compile a personal development plan for yourself, or importantly how a manager can use this tool to support employee development plans.

This question requires you to compile a personal development plan for yourself by completing the following table:

Creating a Personal Development Plan

Consider your role $($job$),$ goals, and career aspirations. Decide on three development needs that will help you to be more successful in performing your role, achieving your goals, and$/$or moving you towards your longer$-$term career plans.

Examples of development needs could be: Manage a project team to achieve project requirements; apply persuasive sales techniques with clients to achieve sales targets; read and interpret the company$$s balance sheet; or implement the five stages of the training cycle for effective training and development.
