You have asked a junior office clerk to speak to Mr Bennet about his trip, and then draft a letter on his behalf that can be sent to Mr Ling. The letter below is the first draft that the junior office clerk sent to you to check.
Although Mr Bennet was annoyed about certain aspects of his trip, you will see that the junior office clerk used informal language, and inappropriate phrases that appear rude and unprofessional. In addition, the letter is poorly structured and contains numerous spelling and grammatical errors.
As a result, Mr Bennet has asked you to edit and rewrite the letter completely correcting any errors and improving the overall layout. It is also vital that you make sure the tone of language used is diplomatic and business-like. Aim to maintain the relationship with Mr Ling.
Use the word processing knowledge that you gained in Module 4 Unit 1 to clean up the formatting of the letter. And, be guided by Module 5 Unit 1 notes regarding the layout and structure of a formal business letter.
