Question 2 (35 Points) airCargoCo provides a service for delivering liquid chemicals using drones. The drones used by the company has three compartments, CI, C2 and C3. Each of the compartments has weight and volume limits which is given in Table 1. In addition, the weight loaded into each compartment must be in the same proportion of that compartment's weight capacity in order to keep the drone balanced. Table 1: Weight and space capacities of the drone Compartment Weight Capacity (kg) Volume capacity (dm3) ci 18 16 C2 24 20 C3 16 12 For example, from Table 1 we can see that if 9 kg liquid is loaded into the C1, then 12 kg and 8 kg of liquids must be loaded into the C2 and C3, respectively. Demands for the chemical liquids are given in Table 2. Any portion of the chemicals may be transported since the demands are in liquid form (demands can be satisfied partially). Note that total capacity of the drone (in terms of weight and volume) is smaller than the total demand. Additionally, since the compartments (Ci, C2 and C3) has subcompartments, different types of chemicals can be carried in the same compartment. 2 Table 2: Demands of the liquid chemicals with weight, volume, and profit Liquid Chemical Weight (kg) Volume (dm3) Profit (TL per kg) P1 10 P2 16 12 20 P3 20 12 P4 13 16 20 18 25 9 Formulate a linear programming (LP) model to maximize the total profit of the delivery. Write the LP model in a general closed form (by using and notation)
