Specific Fertility Rate (ASFR) of women in the reproductive age groups (aged 15-49) in 2016. Using the

information provided, calculate the following demographic indicators: (Note: please keep 2 decimal places

for all rates and use correct units of measurement)

The total population of Australia on 30/06/2016 was 23.4 million. If after that date, the

population grows continuously at a constant rate of 1.4% per annum, estimate:

i. The number of Australian population at 31/12/2026; and

ii. How long (in years) will Australian population reach double its 30/06/2016 size?
