Jane had worked for a recruitment consultancy for some time but felt that she never really fitted in. This was largely because she worked part-time in order to fit in her childcare responsibilities. As a result, she missed the regular team meeting that was held at a time when she was not working. As the company refused to be flexible and move the meeting, she was left out of key decisions and lacked the opportunity to be able to contribute her thoughts in terms of the organizational direction and strategy.

In light of the above:

1. Discuss in some details the five levels proposed by Maslows theory. (25 marks)
2. Evaluate the level of Maslows need that Jane was stuck on. What could the manager do to motivate her? (10 marks)
