(b) A small infirmary home has four departments occupying the 4 corners and one treatment rooms in the middle. Each of the department has 3 wards and each ward has 12 beds.
Terminal units for oxygen and vacuum are provided for each bed. The treatment room has two oxygen and two vacuum outlets. The equivalent lengths of the medical gas pipes to each department and treatment room are 1000 m and 500 m respectively.
Using the three tables given below, please propose a suitable layout, and determine the flow rate and pipe size of the oxygen and vacuum pipes.
