John is always jealous of the abilities of Michael and wishes he was born like him. To him, Michaels business successes are due his natural abilities ii. The CEO felt very embarrassed when all his workers bought new cars whiles he was still using his old car. He used the money meant for the opening of a new branch to buy a new car. iii. Yeboah owns a small printing press which is growing steadily. Last month, a new microfinance was established with a promise of 20% interest on all investments made by business owners. Yeboah has sold his printing press and deposited all the money at the microfinance. iv. Ben is a successful business man who owns three fitting shops but has little education. He has trained all his four children in school up to masters level. However, none of his children wants to run his business as they seek for other office jobs. v. Jessica was the best entrepreneurship student back in school. Four years on, she works as a secretary for a lawyer. When asked the reasons for non-continuance of her entrepreneurship skills and desires, she blamed it on lack of money to actualize her ideas. b) Entrepreneurs face several challenges when they are trying to be creative. Assess the statements below, identify and explain the type of challenges entrepreneurs in the statements are facing in their attempts to be creative and recommend ways by which they can overcome the challenges you identify. i. Gloria has a supervisor who does not allow her to take any initiative. Everything Gloria does must follow laid down procedure. ii. Johnson is faced with serious financial difficulties leading to his wife divorcing him. His children have been sacked from school and his rent is due. This is creating serious problems for him in life. iii. Cecelia has a lucrative job and has gained a lot of experience in business management after managing a business for ten years. There is a great business opportunity in her hometown which she can capitalize on. She has failed to take that opportunity because she thinks she can be attacked spiritually by her people. iv. Mary has been transferred to the Southern Region to head a new business venture but she has refused to take that opportunity because her mother died heading a similar business in the same region
