QUESTION 4 [11 MARKS] The student wants to know if there is a significant difference in the satisfaction levels of men and women with the service they received from the store where they bought the smart mobile phone from. The following hypothesis is developed: The mean levels of satisfaction for service experienced at the store by men and women will differ significantly. 4.1 Prepare the data, by filtering the satisfaction with service variable according to men, and then according to women. Show your prepared data and run a t-test assuming unequal variances on the data you prepared. (2+3=5 marks) Note to students: Filter the gender according to men and copy the responses men gave for satisfaction with service elsewhere in your spreadsheet. Then, do the same with the responses from the women. Copy the womens responses next to the mens responses. 4.2 Interpret the t-test statistical output: two sample assuming unequal variance in a written paragraph and conclude the interpretation by reporting on the results. (3+3=6 marks) Note to student: One (1) mark is awarded for correctly interpreting each of the following: descriptive statistics, hypothesised mean difference, and inferential statistics. A total of three (3) marks is awarded for reporting on the results correctly.
