$4\mathrm{.}1$ Read the following CASE STUDY carefully and then answer the questions that follow:

WebSolutions is a small website development company. Because of the unpredictability

of their new business inflows, they often battle to have the right number of staff to deliver

on their clients$$ requirements and deadlines.

Towards the end of the year WebSolutions was fortunate, to acquire a big contract,

that will boost their brand, provide work for almost twice the number of staff that they

employ at the time and boost their profitability. Successful delivery of this project would

also ensure that the business will be able to afford salary increases for everybody during

the next year, as well as annual bonuses for the current year.

Unfortunately it has taken them longer than expected to find enough staff to complete

the current projects on time, and within budget. This has led to them falling behind

schedule on two of their most important projects $($Projects X and Y $).$ If they don$$t finish

these projects on time, it will cost them a significant amount of money in terms of financial

penalties, and probably no future work from those two clients.

The CEO, Mike Marshall, now needs to make a plan to complete these two projects before

the end of the year. He is considering whether to withdraw the approved December leave

for staff in the Development Department working on those two projects.
