The IFRS Foundation has recently established the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB), which will develop high-quality disclosure standards for sustainability. At this stage, it is unclear whether the new standards will incorporate the GRI framework.

Required:

You have been recruited by the ISSB:

1. In developing a framework for sustainability reporting, suggest how the ISSB could obtain guidance from the following (your answer should provide at least two examples from each):
   1. the IASB conceptual framework; and
   2. the GRI framework
