Kevin has been a junior software engineer at InnoVistec $($Pty$)$ Ltd$.,$ an IT support company, for eight $(8)$ months. Kevin has now been offered a job opportunity as a senior engineer at a different company and has decided to resign from his current position at InnoVistec $($Pty$)$ Ltd$.$

Kevin wants to inform his employer in advance about his decision to resign, as he feels it is the right thing to do$.$ However, after reviewing his employment contract, Kevin realises it does not mention how and when an employee should inform the employer about their decision to terminate their employment.

He knows you are a law student, registered for the HLWL$200-1$ module, and seeks your advice on handling the situation.
