My data consists of email messages, some of which are spam and some not spam. Furthermore, each message has been read and determined conclusively to be either spam or not, so we have labeled data. I wish to employ an algorithm that will learn from the data described above and ultimately generalize so that we may predict whether a new incoming email is spam or not, automatically. Which general category would this learning process fall under?
