Question and Information for Analytical Essay 4 Question When the rise of rightwing nationalist parties feeding on discontent with the negative effects of globalization became obvious in Turkey, the USA, and parts of Europe in 2016, and especially after Covid-19 inspired lockdowns and ensuing disruptions of economic activity began in early 2020, many observers concluded that globalization would soon come to an end. Particular attention was given to popular discontent over loss of jobs and increasing economic inequality, and to business and consumer worry about how seaports and or other places in global supply chains could easily became choke points greatly reducing the availability of many goods.
