This is a planning, bankable feasibility study for a greenfield major mining facility in an uninhabited area. Oakajee Port and Rail has been developing a greenelds infrastructure and supply chain business to transport iron ore from Western Australia's mid- west to customers across the globe. The deepwater port, proposed for a site 24 km north of Geraldton, will cater for the world's largest ore carriers and the 5T0km rail network will service operating and emerging mining projects across the region. Project planning, evaluation. engineering and regulatory approvals are well advanced, independent peer reviews, including value engineering assessments, have identied the port and rail design as the optimal solution to meet the govemment's scoping requirements. It is owned by Company B. a wholly-owned subsidiary of Company A, one of the largest trading and investment companies in C. Oakajee Project Study Objectives Primary objective 1.1 objectives in the development, delivery, commissioning and operation of the Project are to provide a cost effective integrated logistics chain to facilitate the efficient export of mineral products from the Mid West region of Western Australia to global markets. Study objectives 1.2 The objectives of the studies being undertaken by are to: 1.2.1 demonstrate the technical and operational viability of the Project based on the criteria nominated by 1.2.2 minimise the whole of life costs of the Project to the JV Participants; 1.2.3 present a single preferred configuration and investment case and make a clear recommendation to the JV Participants for the Project; 1.2.4 define the scope, quality, estimated cost and time of the proposed Project; 1.2.5 quantitatively assess the risk profile of the proposed Project and recommend appropriate management and mitigation measures; 1.2.6 plan the implementation of the proposed Project and establish the commissioning and operations plan for the commissioning and operations of the Project; 1.2.7 provide a baseline for management, control, monitoring and reporting of the proposed Project.\f\f\f\f
