Question Preface: Blanchard and colleagues (2014) discuss the importance of background and expertise when developing research questions and carrying out research studies. Multigroup designs involve more than two groups of participants. With more groups of participants the research designs complexity increases as does our ability to evaluate differences between the levels of the IV generating valuable insights that can lead to new research questions.

Possible independent variables include walking, running, indoor, outdoor, exposure to nature or urban environment, clothing. Possible dependent variables include mood, happiness, creativity, feeling healthy, quality of sleep, stress, or cortisol. Be sure to define all key concepts and explain reasoning and justifications for each aspect of the design and fully operationalize all variables.
