You can overcome this challenge by creating a sustainability plan at the outset of a new program. Hence, what you want to do is find out how the local community feels about the intended program and if it resonates well with them then you know you will have buy-in. The next step will be to start putting the ideas of the community and those of the program into tangible and workable strategies that you will then implement. Once implementation has taken place, it is incumbent that you appraise the strategies and if there are gaps noticed then modifications can be made to the strategies.
