Read Chapter 5and think about the different types and sources of recorded information, which are:

1) Files of law enforcement agencies

2) Files of other governmental agencies

3) Records of business organizations

4) Miscellaneous sources

Assignment:

1. Find a case, present or past, that used records or data during the investigation and were instrumental in solving the case.Do not submit cases that utilize DNA or Fingerprint records(They are more akin to physical evidence).
2. Post a synopsis of the real world case to this Discussion Forum and explain how this type of record evidence information was helpful to that investigation. Attach any links to articles that you read.
3. Note: Again this is a first come first served forum - you must use cases that are different from those posted by your classmates therefore, once someone posts a case you may not use it.
