With a distinctive red color, fragrant and attractive fried chicken pieces, surely no one is unaware or has never heard of the name KFC. Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) is a brand that has become familiar around the world, it can be said that wherever you go, you can find fried chicken stores bearing the image of KFC. In recent years, the coverage of KFC has been throughout the market from urban to rural areas, it is no longer a luxury dish that people used to think before, but now it is fast food with reasonable prices which has conquered many culinary cultures as well as different customer ages. To achieve that success, KFC has had a business strategy as well as a plan to develop different products to consumers. That difference is available in the minds of consumers when someone mentions fried chicken, they will think of KFC first.

The part I am particularly interested in in this project is the product strategy because the product is the most important P of KFC's 4P marketing strategy. I am attaching in this posting a product strategy proposal as KFC enters a new market.

KFC's original product was pressure crispy chicken pieces, marinated with a secret recipe of 11 spices. Other specialties of KFC are Extra Crispy Chicken, home style sides and buttermilk biscuits. Entering to new market or each country, KFC always adjusts its menu to suit the culture and cuisine habits of each country. KFC also changes the taste, size, and design to match the cuisine of local consumers. It is known that KFC has more than 300 different menus as part of a mixed product marketing strategy in different locations around the world. The company has also introduced a variety of new dishes according to local preferences in the country they do business.

Another remarkable point is that KFC has researched and created a low-fat chicken frying oil to focus on the health of customers. Frying oil is made from soybeans, has less hydrogen, and produces fewer fatty acids, it is better for the heart than other frying oils. In addition, the source of safety and reputable chicken meat of KFC is also a strong point to help consumers feel secure to use when the issue of food hygiene and safety is increasingly focused.
