Read the article posted for this assignment by Begue et al., 2012. You will summarize the paper by addressing each of the following points below. Your report should be double spaced, using twelve-point font, 1 inch margins. You will provide the correct APA formatted reference at the top of the paper. Your name and date should be in the top right-hand corner of the paper. NOTE: I DO NOT recommend relying on a program or website to create this reference for you. They are usually wrong. Create the reference yourself. Your paper should be organized in sections a.-d. where you address each of the four points. As with any writing assignment, it must use your own words. Plagiarism is using anyone else's words or ideas without properly crediting the source, or using 3 or more words in a row from a source without putting the phrase in quotations. You may NOT use quotes in this assignment. If you do, you will be docked significantly. No quotes allowed. Your report should be between 2 and 3 pages in length (~700-1000 words). Please note that this study has two parts. You should summarize both of them.
Here are the four questions you must answer in your reports:
- Introduction: Summarize the introduction section. What hypothesis(es) did the authors address with their research? If there is not a hypothesis, but rather a research question, be sure to state that. What is missing from our understanding that made it important to do this new study?
- Methods: How did they do the research? That is, what techniques or methodologies did they employ to answer the question(s)? Who were their participants? Be sure to identify the IV and DV, the operational definitions, in addition to a description of the methodology.
- Results: What did the authors find?
- Discussion: What are the conclusions of the study? Be sure to include at least one implication or application of the research, as well as how it fits into the existing research.
