Winners Sporting Goods (WSG) is attempting to compete with online retailers by offering customers enrolled in their loyalty program the option of making purchases in store, purchasing online and picking up in store, and purchasing online and having the items shipped.WSG has many stores located in central USA. For each store, it records the store name, address, and main phone number. Both online and in stores, WSG sells a wide selection of sporting goods, everything from apparel to sports equipment to outdoor pursuits gear. For each item, the name and regular price is recorded. To entice customers, items also have many sales, and the sale information is comprised of the sale price, the start date of the sale, and the duration(in days) of the sale.WSG also has many employees, some of which work at multiple stores. For each employee, only a unique identifier and name should be stored.Customers enrolled in the loyalty program have accounts. For each account, only an email address and phone are required for enrollment, but WSG also collects the customers name and address if provided. The date the account was created is also stored.Whether purchasing in store or online, customers provide their email address or phone number so their account can be looked up and associated with their purchase. Only one account can be associated with each purchase, but customers make many purchases over time.A purchase can be for one or more items, and the customer must specify how they would like each item to be delivered. In other words, each lineitem of the purchase must be exactly one of three types: in-store, online pickup, or online ship. If the lineitem is an in-store, the store the item was acquired from should be recorded (note: purchase can be made at one store and picked up at a different store). If the lineitem is an online pickup, the store the customer designated for pickup is recorded along with the employee that pulled the item from the shelf and the employee that served the customer when they arrived for the pickup. If the lineitem is an online ship, the shipping address and ship speed (e.g., expedited, standard) are recorded. All lineitems on a purchase must have a status specified so that WSG can determine whether the customer has taken possession of the item or not. Statuses can include but are not limited to ready for pickup, back ordered, picked up, and delivered.
