It is also the largest private employer in the world with 2.2 million employees. It is a publicly traded family-owned business, as the company is controlled by the Walton family. Walmart Groceries (WG) is a division of Walmart that takes care of supplying and providing groceries to the stores. One of the main points of pride for WG is the people it employs. Namely, all WG staff are Walmart employees. Naturally, not all employees are WG staff. Some WG staff are specialized delivery, others are specialized in cooling the produce. Some are in charge of disposing the old/ruined products. All WG staff take periodic training courses to stay current in their areas of expertise.
