CASE STUDY

Buks and Louise want to redecorate their kitchen. After much discussion, they determine that they will have enough time and money to take on the project over the long weekend. The couple make a list of everything they will need so that they can make their purchases and prepare before they get started. They also hire a painter to help them paint the walls and carpenter to assist with the new cupboards. The painter and carpenter arrive on Saturday morning. Louise starts by packing everything away, while Buks and the painter get their supplies and cover the floor so they do not damage it with paint. While the painter paints, Buks and the carpenter start to assemble some cabinets and decorations. Buks checks with the painter regularly to ensure that everything is going smoothly.
The next day, when the paint is dry, Buks and Louise move all their new appliances into the kitchen and hang their decorations on the wall. Buks starts to clean up while Louise checks her banking app to see if the painter’s and carpenter’s payments have been processed. She is delighted to tell Buks that everything was done within their budget and that they even have some money left. The couple could not be happier with their new kitchen.
