1.1 Project Context: The purpose of the project was to perform automation and regression for a cosmetics company on their ERP system (Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations). This service was a offered by a company that offers both implementation and managed services for Microsoft products, as they are a renowned partner of Microsoft. Automation and regression testing is a technique used to check a software or application after process to be improved 1. Embracing automated, repeatable and reusable testing ensures that all the feature interactions with their D365 system has a clear alignment with their system. Implementing this ensures smoother deployments during \"Go Lives\" and bug fixes in their system become quicker. Part of the main reasons why automated and regression testing is implemented is because manual testing takes up a lot of the employees' time thus taking away time from their day-to-day tasks, and manually testing means they would only choose a few scenarios thus not entirely testing all their day-to-day tasks. Thus, a quicker approach to testing was needed to have a quicker turn around time. 1.2 Scope and Objectives: a) Through the automated testing, prove that the tool has value by showing the customer a more efficient and quicker way of testing. b) Enable their business with the necessary training to ensure that they can continue running the testing of their scripts using automation and regression testing tool. c) Perform automated and regression testing for all the test scripts the client will provide, and 135 test scripts were provided. d) Prior to testing perform business process mapping to identify the dependencies in the test scripts. e) Reference the client's case to use it for marketing purposes. f) Assist the client to acquire the tools licensing for future automated and regression testing use. g) Provide a clear plan to expand their automation and regression testing
