DO NOT CARRY OUT THE CONVERSIONS TO MORE THAN THREE PLACES PAST THE BINARY POINT. That is, write (for example) 1010.111 and not 101.11100110100. TRUNCATE AT THE THIRD PLACE PAST THE BINARY POINT (that is, chop off everything after the third digit past the binary point) DON'T ROUND. Exercise 8 (2 pt): Convert 73.5, to binary floating point (using the extended binary template). Exercise 9 (2 pt): Convert 26.2510 to binary floating point (using the extended binary template).
