Read the memorandum example from Basic Legal Writing for Paralegals. Don't worry if some parts of the example don't make sense to you. Simply focus on what the writer does in the memorandum: how the memo is organized and how legal authorities (case law in this example) are used to support conclusions. Note all of the different parts of the memorandum, not just the section we are working on now (the discussion section). After you have read the example, complete the following. Submit all of your answers in one document. 1. In the lecture for this module, I outlined the first issue mentioned in the discussion section of the memorandum (Did Sack and Shop owe Harris a duty of care and, if it did owe a duty, what duty of care was owed?). Outline the remaining three issues using the IRAC format below. Each issue should have its own IRAC (so, you are to submit three IRAC's in one document). a. Issue: State the issue. b. Rule: State and explain the rule using cases. c. Analysis/Application: What main points are made in the analysis? d. Conclusion: State the final conclusion. 2. Focus on how the writer uses the Pabst v. Hillman case to support his points. How are the facts of Pabst similar to and different from the facts of the Harris case. Are the differences relevant? (3-5 sentences) 3-5 sentences is just to making the answers to the questions short and simple if that makes better sense
