Hello everyone, my unhealthy response to the People First management meeting would be this:

I am in charge of four social workers and six medical clinic staff and all of them work their tails off every day. There is not a time that these individuals are not working unlike those in the employment and life skills department. Almost every time I walk by that office someone is scrolling through their phone or gossiping about other people in the office. Honestly, It rediculious. Obviously, they are overstrength and could afford to lose a few people whereas we need all the help we can get in the clinical department. And speaking of help. Thinking of cutting the internship program would be a huge loss for us. It's not like This is a paid internship for them anyways so what exactly are these hidden costs. To me the organization is just getting free labor with the internship program being around.

My healthy response to the people first management meeting would be this:

I understand everyones frustration during this stressful time. This is a huge loss for everyone as I know we all work very hard to provide the best services for our clients. The transitional housing department is small but it is mighty and although the employment and life skills department has more people, it services a larger number of clients. instead of pointing fingers and getting defensive I think we should come together and talk about options and what would really be best for the clients and for the organization. Maybe we should start by explaining what exactly our departments offer identifying the strengths and weaknesses of each department. From there we can look at numbers and make further decisions based off of facts rather than emotion. I don't want to see anyone go in this organization but we wont be able to help others unless we figure this out as a team first.
