Recall the load balancing problem that we discussed in class. We studied two greedy approximation algorithms for this problem. In the first of these algorithms, we processed the items in arbitrary order. In the second, we processed the items in nonincreasing order of weight. In class, we sketched a proof that the second algorithm achieves an approximation ratio of $\frac{4}{3}.$ Prove that this bound is tight, in the following sense: For any $>0,$ there is an instance of the load balancing problem for which the approximation ratio achieved by the second algorithm exceeds $\frac{4}{3}-.$
