Recently Cocoa Development Company (CDC) had receive a large order from a new client in the USA, who wanted to stock Cocoa products for production and redistribution. Unfortunately, CDC was not able to meet the demand due to not having enough packaging in the form of Cocoa Sacks. CDC always tried to keep its stock costs as low as possible and the lead time of the packaging was such that even if CDC managed to get the Cocoa Beans, they would not be able to get them shipped in time to meet the orders received. CDC, viewed this transaction as key to its Global distribution operations and survival and its failure raised some key operational issues.

You have been appointed as the Global Logistics Director and has been tasked by the CEO to present a report on how to remedy these issues by answering the following questions prepared by the board.
