Reflection & Application: Roles in Sales $/$ Business Development

Purpose of this assignment: Review and learn about some typical sales jobs in the industry by

comparing them with your own interests, career goals and qualifications.

$1.$ Do a search on a major local job search site $($example: indeed.ca or Hcareers.ca$)$ for a

job in sales $/$ business development.

$2.$ Choose a role that interests you.

o Preferentially, look for something in the Hospitality, Tourism & Travel industry.

But posted jobs in our industry currently are fewer right now due to the Covid$-19$

pandemic, so if you cannot find anything appropriate then you can choose

another industry.

$3.$ Write a one$-$page reflection as follows, including:

o Your name should be at the top of the page;

o The job title $($please make the job title a hyperlink to the job posting web page$)$;

o The name and location of the company;

o Quote two job functions $($may also called job responsibilities$)$ listed in the posting

that interest you, with a brief statement for each one to explain why it interests

you;

that are a good fit with your qualifications and experience, with a brief

explanation for each.
