RELATIONAL VIOLENCE: VERBAL ABUSE Purpose: 1. Examine the manner in which communication might be used as a form of relational abuse and violence. Directions: 1. Relational violence includes a range of destructive behaviors aimed at other people, including aggressiveness, threats, violent acts, and verbal, psychological, or physical abuse. For this exercise the focus will only be on the manner in which interpersonal communication can be used as a destructive behavior. 2.
