Background$/$Details:

When studying the five primary process groups of project management according to PMBOK$,$ you should find a logical flow of getting things done. In fact, this flow of logic can be applied easily to every day planning that we already do without actually recognizing we are doing it$.$ Take an example of a recent vacation that you planned and implemented to explain how each of the five process groups of project management applied to your vacation planning and implementation.

Think:

How did the process get started?

How did the events of planning the idea to actually doing the vacation unfold?

What kinds of things needed to happen along the way and in which order that could be grouped into the $5$ process groups?

Consider how each the process groups are needed to make this $$project$$ successful.

Do:

Give a brief background of the vacation.

Lay out the vacation planning according to the PMBOK$$ five process groups in proper order $($Initiating$,$ Planning, Executing, Monitor & Control, Closing$).$

Give an example of activities you did in each of the process groups.

Describe two things that you learned in the planning and execution of the vacation.

Discuss one risk you identified during your vacation that had to be addressed.
