Remember when you plan a lesson or unit, you need to start with the Standard(s) and then write objectives. Objectives need to be specific and measurable (description of a performance you want the learners to exhibit/result of the instruction). As you answer the questions below, remember assessments should align to the standards and objectives.

1. How do you use formative assessment in your classroom? How do you collect and use the data from your formative assessments? Strong formative assessments provide teachers with important information. Provide a reflection on what information the will assessment will provide.

2. Does the use of formative assessment align with your personal philosophy of education? Why or Why not? Do you believe formative assessments should be graded? Why or why not?
