Replicate his example exactly for 25 points. Then for 50 points, make your own example. You will turn in a word document of both his example and yours. Do most of the work in excel and paste it into word. For both regressions, answer the following:

1. What are the data you are using? (i.e. tips and meal totals)

2. Make a graph of the data points (excel)

3. Draw a best fit line (excel)

4. Calculate the residual

5. Add up the residuals. What do they equal?

6. What is the standard deviation? Show your work please. Why do we square them?

7. Calculate the SSE.

8. Provide the sum of squares

9. Make a best fit line

10. Explain how linear regression works. What does it do?
