The elements of the PDCA learning cycle, are; plan, do check and act. It is a system that all business professionals can look back to when being a part of a team, or also leading a team. The PDCA learning cycle breaks down the steps of improving a process in a simple way. The 'plan' part of the cycle can be explained as the part where you, identify the problem. Here, you also create a pathway to your solution. The next part, do can be described as taking action or performing the plan created in the first element of PDCA. After, is the 'check' element. This is when, tracking and monitoring, your implemented plan comes in Lastly, comes 'act'. This final element of PDCA focuses on improving and adjusting based off all the findings and results. PDCA can be used in all fields and job positions. For example, in my project, I am creating a line of hair products. I can utilize PDCA to improve the costumer reviews on my company's products. This can be done by P finding what the complaints are by creating a survey for consumers, D posting the survey on social media and other platforms for consumers, C tracking the survey and documenting the results, A then finally changing and updating the products based off the reviews from the survey. PDCA is very valuable because it can be used on both a small and large scale. It brings organization and clarity to problems and the steps needed in order to tackle them, and improve from them.
