Reply to at least two classmates about their initial posts. In your replies, discuss how their situations and later court cases show a federal system and national supremacy at work. Use facts to explain why you agree or disagree with the majority ruling of the Supreme Court in each case. Hello, my name is Joseph. I'm from Louisiana, and I'm pursuing a degree in history to teach at the high school level. The case I have chosen is Plyler v Doe (1982). In a 5-4 decision, the court ruled that states could not deny undocumented children an education. This decision was based on the Fourteenth Amendment's Equal Protection Clause, which states that denying them education harms both the children and the nation as a whole. The case originated with a Texas law that denied undocumented children education and withheld state funding for their education. This case has since become the law of the land, but has been limited to only apply to K-12 schooling
