Five unique perspectives of a good leader.

Integrityin my opinion is the most important quality of a good leader. Moral values and consistency encourages staff to make a leader proud of his team. I believe followers perform their best under a leader that is honest and does not compromise who he is. I also feel as though a leader with integrity stands up for his team.

Emotionalwhich I have respect for is one that understands that we all learn and react differently. That he knows the way he interacts with each team member independently, can create a more efficient atmosphere where people want to work.

Creativea creative leader doesn't follow the playbook but looks at a situation and can make adjustments and calls as he sees how a particular moment unfolds. a leader that tries new and different collaborative ways to approach the day or night.

Communicatorstrong communication that is direct and firm, yet listens and is understanding. A leader with strong communication (from trial and error) has learned to direct and respond calmly. A leader that is able to give direction, tasks, and responsibilities that are heard, understood, and well executed.

FollowerA good leader is an example of a good follower. This is someone who has learned from others or a mentor that had the same values and style that caused him to want to lead similarly. He mixed the style he respected the most in his mentor, yet learned through his own life experiences that also made him a good leader.

I have personally experienced all but one. I believe a leader that is a good communicator is hard to come across. Some are strong leads but does not always express efficiently what is most important, which just causes so much confusion. Although, there has been someone on the team that is somehow able to fill in the "gap". As I am a creative person and not always a rule follower, the best experiences I have had, have been with creative leaders. There is more collaboration and freedom to explore and learn my own style. This style has also allowed me to understand and better know my own strengths and faults.
