The freight shuttle concept is a system that would allow freight containers to have their own lanes to get to different destinations. The advantage of this concept is that it is cost-efficient and allows for faster delivery due to not having to navigate through traffic. The disadvantage is that it may malfunction and put a hold on the delivery of the freight containers which is never good. I do not see why this would not work in Houston, the main concern is having it implemented into the infrastructure that already exists because Houstons Highway systems are very intricate and construction is always a thing. Overall I think the freight shuttle system is an amazing concept and if implemented correctly it could be game changer in the supply chain industry.
